I've only gone and done it

OK here is my journey into Network Marketing ...

I have been networking for 6 years and running my own business for about the same. During that time I have met very many and varied MLM Network Marketing type people.

You may have heard of some of them ... Utilities Warehouse, Herbalife, Arbonne, Phoenix Cards, Forever Living Products, Amway, Betterware, Nu Skin, Avon, Mary Kay, Pampered Chef - there are probably many more. I have been listening to them all and trying to work out how they make it work.

MLM opportunities available

Two out of that list did resonate with me and also I liked the people that were talking about them so I went to find out more. I found it very interesting, and just a little bit scary, going to the business presentations. I do not respond well to people telling me I can have holidays in the sun, drive a flash car, earn a 6 figure salary - what motivates me does not fall into those categories. I continued doing my research, trying to keep an open mind.

I had two friends who recently became Forever Business Owners - one got me trying the products - which I instantly fell in love with and they sorted out a couple of issues I was having with my skin and my tummy; the other told me a bit more about the company and how it has been around for nearly 4 decades and is asset-rich and debt-free I started thinking. Of all the MLM people I had met those that did Forever were the ones who captivated me the most.

I did more digging and checking about the company; the way they reward you; how you can do as much or as little as you like; how they support communities in the countries where the Aloe grows; how they support, with training, all their Business Owners; how ethical they are; that the products were consumable; that the products were good. It was all looking good.

As a personal aside over the summer I took on a mortgage to rent out my home after moving me and my Photography business to Burton. So if I could have an extra income stream that may potentially be paying the mortgage then that sounded like a good idea. Also I had sold some unwanted jewellery and items from moving that amounted to the cost of the Business Opportunity Box - so it was all starting to make sense. A bit of serendipity.

The two MLM companies I was interested in was Utilities Warehouse and Forever - but after doing the research I found Forever ticked more of my boxes - it has the potential to go global and I like the products and use them.

I was chatting to a Utilities Warehouse person recently and they were saying that whichever MLM you join they are so good these days, and the training so interesting, that it can only help you in all areas of your life - your personal life and if you have another business it helps there too.

With all this in mind I went and had a coffee with Lorraine and signed up and awaited the arrival of my box of goodies.

That's the next installment.
